LETTER TO HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS

The high school counselors in San Miguel and Mora Counties play an important role in the success of the Viles Foundation, Inc. As President of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank you on behalf of the board for your time and effort in identifying orphan and half orphan seniors. Your assistance in helping students fulfill the requirements is appreciated also.

The Board of Directors has worked in conjunction with Luna Community College to offer a course to help our high school graduating students be prepared for the requirements of college. We have named it "College Success". It is a one hour a week class during the summer semester after graduation of high school. Luna will give each student a one hour credit for completion of the class. The class must be completed to receive a Viles Foundation, Inc. scholarship.

We hope that you will encourage your students to attend the class. If you have suggestions that would further help these students, we would be very happy to discuss them with you.

Sincerely,
LouElla Marr-Montoya
President
